Hey there! I'm a 17-year-old who's really into golf and a Junior at John Paul II High School here in Texas. My life's pretty much about loving golf, hitting the books, and being super curious about science, math, and tech. Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I was born in the picturesque state of California, where my love for golf began at the tender age of 6. The first time I hit a ball at Fremont Park Golf Club, I knew this was my thing. Countless hours were spent alongside my dad on the greens, where I not only honed my skills but also developed a deep love for golf. Those early experiences molded me into the golfer and individual I've become. On weekends, I'd head over to Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton, where I'd immerse myself in practice sessions and engage in 18-hole rounds with fellow young golf enthusiasts. This competitive play was crucial in sharpening my abilities, setting the foundation for my journey in golf.
Then, at the age of 8, we moved to Texas, and wow, did that open doors for my golfing! Texas is big on golf, and I took advantage of that, practicing on amazing courses and really embracing what it means to be from here. Fun fact: my hometown, Frisco, is where the PGA has its headquarters now.
I've been lucky to play and win in tournaments both here in the US and internationally. Every game, victory or defect, teaches me something new. My big dream? To play golf in college with one of the top teams. It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication, but I'm ready for it.
But there's more to me than just golf. I'm also all about my studies, especially science, math, and engineering. I've been keeping my grades up and working hard to do well on the SAT.
I also really care about helping out in my community. I volunteer at the Dallas Arboretum and local food pantries, make colorful cards, and donate socks to help kids and the underprivileged. And I'm working on a newsletter to help athletes learn about staying healthy, hydrated, and well, because I believe being healthy is key to doing well in sports and in life. I encourage you to checkout the Newsletter section of this website.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know a bit about me. There are so many exciting things I want to do, and I can't wait to see where my dreams and hard work take me. I hope you'll stick around to see it all unfold. And don't forget to check out my resume to see what I've achieved so far. Here's to chasing dreams with determination, a love for golf, a passion for learning, and the courage to face any challenge head-on….
